Dear Valued Member,
Thank you for your participation in LFCU's Inner Circle. Your feedback is helping LFCU management better understand what you value in products and services. Following is a sample of what we’ve learned to date.
What's in a name?
A recent blog post asked about the value of the “Lockheed” name. While the image associated with “Lockheed” fits what we wish to project for the credit union --strong, innovative, and generating positive results for the customer -- the name is also a hurdle to membership growth (non-members believe they must be employed by Lockheed Martin in order to join the credit union).
Should LFCU change its name? Here’s what one member had to say (visit the Inner Circle blog to add your opinion):
“If changing the name would increase the growth and strength of LFCU then I would have no objection. Changing the name might also put LFCU in the category of "just another credit union". I think people right now are looking for strength and security -- a 72 year name and reputation maybe should be pushed a little harder as it indicates both attributes.”
Survey results: Electronic Statements
“Security. As a victim of identity theft, I prefer not to receive financial info via US mail.” “The ability to use the search feature to locate a charge rather than fumbling through paper statements is a convenience.” “Very handy. I can always pull up a copy anywhere in the world."
• Add an option to download as a pdf. Right now I have to print to a pdf. • Format so I can print all on one page • Send me an e-mail reminder when the statement is ready after the end of the month. (Note: we do this today.)
Other feedback: Answers to common questions
Members can access up to 16 months of transaction history and up to 24 monthly statements in online banking.
All members who have a checking account are entitled to free insurance to offset the costs of restoring your identity in the event you are a victim of this growing crime.
New question: Would you customize the picture on your LFCU card?
We're evaluating a new service that will allow members to add their own personal picture to their LFCU debit or credit card. Please answer this month's survey to tell us what you think.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
 Dave Styler President & CEO
