As you may have heard, recent regulations now require members to opt-in to maintain Courtesy Pay overdraft protection services on ATM and everyday debit card transactions.

Let us know if you wish to continue to protect your account for those “just-in-case” moments when you don’t have funds available in your account. If you choose not to opt in, beginning August 15, 2010, your ATM and everyday debit card transactions will be declined if you do not have sufficient funds in your account.

There is no fee to opt in – you are charged only if you use the service. Plus, the Courtesy Pay coverage applies only after other overdraft options available to you (e.g. transfers from savings or a line of credit) are exhausted.

Courtesy Pay can help you:

• Avoid the embarrassment of having your card declined when you are at your favorite restaurant or in a busy check-out line

• Ensure funds are available in emergency situations, like when you run out of gas far from home
