Proud to Support Local Charities

Dear Valued Member,

We know it is important to give back. That’s why, over the past two years, the LFCU Community Stars raised more than $100,000 to support local charities.

LFCU Community Stars is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, formed by LFCU employees in 2008. The sole purpose of the foundation is to support local charities through volunteerism and monetary contributions.

This year the foundation supported the following nonprofit organizations:

• Burbank Temporary Aid Center - provides short-term help for Burbank residents who need emergency assistance with food, shelter, and life’s necessities.

• For The Troops - assembles and distributes care packages, with snack items, DVDs, books and more, to U.S. soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.

• Penny Lane - offers residential treatment, foster care, special education and other services to emancipated youth in the San Fernando, Antelope and San Gabriel valleys.

• Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center - enhances independence, dignity, and quality of life through services for senior citizens in Santa Clarita Valley.
