We are pleased to announce that your LFCU checking account will be upgraded to a new and improved checking option - Advantage Checking - on October 1st. Advantage Checking offers new benefits we are confident you will enjoy (and there's NO catch!).

Automatic fee waivers
All members will receive one free "bounced check" fee waiver each year. This waiver is automatic - you don't have to ask (unlike other institutions). You may also make unlimited free stop payment requests through Online Banking or CU By Phone.*

Free identity theft prevention resources
Advantage Checking members will soon have access to certified Identity Theft Advocates who will help you every step of the way, if your identity should ever be stolen. You are also eligible for up to $5,000 in free coverage for expenses incurred to recover from identity theft, such as legal fees, notary fees, long distance calls, travel, etc. - all with no deductible. Details will be announced next month.

Easy ways to qualify for a free account
Advantage Checking offers four ways to waive the low monthly $2.95 service charge: (1) monthly direct deposit of $100 or more, (2) e-Statement delivery (with waiver of paper statements), (3) average daily balance of $750 or more, or (4) Gold or Platinum Relationship Rewards status.

No tricks or hidden fees
Your checking account number and ATM/check card will not change. All the checking benefits you enjoy today will remain the same.
