Reverse Authentication is designed to prevent "phishing."
"Phishing" is an e-mail scam designed to take victims to a counterfeit Web site. The email recipient is then asked to provide important personal information, such as account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers and so on. Common phishing scams include urgent e-mails from Ebay, the IRS, PayPal and others. Please note that Lockheed Federal Credit Union will NEVER ask for this information via email or over the phone.
