Free bounced check and unlimited stop payment fee waivers
LFCU members enjoy one free "bounced check" fee waiver each year. We understand that mistakes happen, so we're pleased to waive one Courtesy Pay or Non-Sufficient Funds fee for members once every 12 months. This waiver is available to all members in good standing who have a checking account with LFCU. The waiver is automatic - you don't have to ask (unlike other institutions!).
You may also make unlimited free stop payment requests though Online Banking or CU By Phone. This benefit is available on standard checking checks only (Money Market and loan checks do not qualify). Stop payment requests made in person or by calling the call center are subject to standard fees.
Free identity theft prevention resources
Your checking account comes with free access to a group of certified Identity Theft Advocates who will help you every step of the way should your identity ever be stolen. You are also eligible for up to $5,000 in free coverage for expenses incurred to recover from identity theft, such as legal fees, notary fees applicable to affidavits, long distance calls, travel, etc. - all with no deductible. Overdraft Protection
