Protecting the Security of Your Accounts


The security of your accounts is one of LFCU's top priorities. We want to make you aware of several safeguards designed to protect your account and limit the impact of fraud should it occur.

New Daily Transaction Limits
Effective July 1, 2006, new daily purchase limits will apply to all LFCU Visa credit and debit cards. You may make aggregate purchases up to the following amounts each day:

Visa Credit Card - Maximum daily purchase: up to $10,000
ATM and Visa Check Card - Maximum PIN-based purchase and/or ATM cash withdrawal: up to $600
Visa Check Card - Maximum signature-based purchase: up to $1,500

If you would like to request higher or lower limits for your credit, ATM or check card, please call (800) 328-LFCU.

Daily maximums subject to your available balance.

24-Hour Fraud Monitoring


LFCU employs robust fraud-monitoring systems designed to identify suspicious patterns in credit and debit card activity. These systems help LFCU alert members to potential fraud hours or days before many members notice a problem. As a result, you may receive a call to verify activity on your account. Please ensure we have your current phone numbers on file.

Restrictions on International Transactions
Due to escalating fraud on transactions originating outside the United States, LFCU has blocked credit card transactions and signature-based check card transactions in a small number of foreign countries. If you are planning to use your cards outside of the U.S., please call (800) 328-LFCU to ensure your cards will work as expected.
