Lockheed Federal Credit Palmdale High Students to Receive Money Management Education Burbank, Calif. (April 25, 2007) – Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU), one of the largest credit unions in the nation, is sponsoring a Teen Financial Literacy Seminar from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Palmdale High School in Palmdale. The seminar focuses on teaching Palmdale High students and parents about money management. Award-winning financial literacy speaker and author Sally Taylor will talk to students about:
“Teenagers can become overwhelmed with credit card offers and college loans. It’s important that they have an understanding of money management so that they can make financial plans,” LFCU President and CEO Dave Styler said. “If teens receive the tools and education to reach financial success, it will impact the rest of their lives.” Each student will receive a copy of “Money Talks,” a book by “Learning about money is crucial to living a successful life.
