^{LFCU Participates in National Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day®}

Children Observe Credit Union Workplace

Burbank, Calif. – April 27, 2007 – Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU), one of the largest credit unions in the nation, participated in the national Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day^® from 8 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. Thursday, April 26.  

Several LFCU employees’ children were registered to participate in the day’s events at LFCU’s headquarters, 2340 Hollywood Way in Burbank. The day’s events were designed to encourage and facilitate family-involvement by inviting children (first- through sixth-graders) to spend the day at their parent’s workplace and learn more about their job duties and responsibilities.

At LFCU, children took a behind-the-scenes look at a financial institution, learn about their parents’ jobs and the importance of managing money. The program is developed to encourage applied learning by permitting children to use knowledge gained in the classroom and apply it to the workplace.

“We feel that it is important for children to have an understanding of responsibilities outside the home. Our goal is to give children the opportunity to see the benefits of their education and how they can exercise it in the workplace,” said Wayne Schulman, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Legal Affairs Corporate Counsel.

Sponsored by the Ms. Foundation and with the participation of U.S. companies, Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, is hosted annually on the fourth Thursday of April.
