LOCKHEED FEDERAL CREDIT UNION GIVES BACK TO THE VICTIMS OF HURRICANE KATRINA

(Burbank, CA), November 30, 2005 — Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU) will donate $38,572 to the American Red Cross for its Katrina Hurricane Relief efforts announced President & CEO Dave Styler today.  The donation was raised through a two-month relief program LFCU created specifically for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

“The victims of Hurricane Katrina continue to rebuild their lives and their cities,” said Styler.  “We humbly join the nation’s efforts to bring relief and hope to the communities and people of the Gulf Coast struggling in the storm’s aftermath.”

LFCU members, board and staff were greatly moved by the devastation of the hurricane. LFCU created the donation program as a way for LFCU to give to those affected by the devastating storm by simply doing what they do everyday – making purchases.   LFCU donated 5 cents for every signature-based check and credit card transaction its members made while using their LFCU Visa credit and check cards between Sept. 15 - Nov. 15.

In addition to monetary donations, LFCU provided assistance for the victims of Hurricane Katrina through its disaster relief program, which provides emergency loans and waivers of certain fees for its members unable to occupy their homes. LFCU employees also personally donated more than $5,000 and 50 units of blood to the hurricane relief effort and in remembrance of the heroes and victims of 9/11.
