Lockheed Federal Credit Union Employees Donate $20,000

Payroll Deduction Program Contributes to Local Nonprofit Organizations

 

BURBANK, Calif. (May 11, 2007) – Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU) announced today that its employees have donated more than $20,000 to nonprofit organizations through its Employee Charitable Contribution Program since 2006.

 

The program is offered through the LFCU Community Stars Foundation, and allows employees to contribute a portion of their paychecks to the organization(s) of their choice. More than 100 employees volunteer donations which help continue the mission of supplying much needed health, welfare, education and research for each organization.

 

“Contributing just a small amount each pay period can help these hard-working organizations improve the lives of our community members,” Marketing SVP Andrea Carpenter said. “We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.”

  • Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles
  • Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Los Angeles affiliate
  • Guide Dogs of America – Sylmar
  • American Cancer Society – Santa Clarita
  • Boys and Girls Club – Burbank

 

2006

  • Santa Clarita Special Olympics
  • Southern California Special Olympics
  • Home Delivered Meal Program – Senior Services, City of Burbank

 

LFCU’s Employee Charitable Contribution Program was launched in 2005. Employees participate on a voluntary basis and can start or end payroll deductions at any time.
