Lockheed Federal Credit Union Donates More Than 100 Tickets to Dodger Game
Burbank, Calif. (August 20, 2007) – Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU) continued its community efforts on Saturday, August 18, by making it possible for the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank to watch from the stands as the Dodgers battled against the Colorado Rockies. LFCU donated more than 100 Dodger tickets to children who participate in the club.
“We are proud to support our community,” said Dave Styler, President and CEO at LFCU. “The Boys and Girls Club is a terrific organization, and we’re very happy to give the children of Burbank a chance to see the Dodgers play. This gift speaks volumes about the caring nature of the Credit Union and our employees.”
Since 2006, LFCU has helped the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank through its employee payroll deduction program, already contributing more than $4,000 to date.
“We think it is wonderful that Lockheed Federal Credit Union has donated Dodger tickets to the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank,” said Shanna Warren, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank. “We’re so grateful, as many of our children have never had an opportunity to attend a Dodger game. We appreciate LFCU’s continued support, as they’ve been very generous to our organization.”
In 2007, the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank celebrates 12 years of success, helping more than 600 children in the Burbank community. The organization provides several programs for its participants, including education and career development, the arts, character and leadership development, and athletics.
