Bowling Dollars Roll for Success Lockheed Federal Credit Burbank, Calif. (August 15, 2007) – Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU), one of the largest credit unions in the nation, announced today its sponsorship of the Valley Industrial Association’s Night Fever. On Saturday, August 18, LFCU employees and participants will shake their groove things and bowl at Valencia Lanes to raise money to support Connecting to Success, an extraordinary training program for the emerging workforce delivered by local business professionals. LFCU’s sponsorship will support five students in VIA’s Connecting to Success program. Nearly 2,000 Santa Clarita Valley high school juniors will benefit from this program in 2007. “It is an honor to be a part of this event for a second year,” said James Davis, LFCU Branch Sales Manager for LFCU employees from the Santa Clarita Valley branches will participate in this fundraiser. More than 100 volunteer mentors from the business community lead students in VIA’s Connecting to Success through role-playing, case studies, group discussions, and individual assessments to build workplace professionalism, and the ability to influence others as responsible adults. The fifth-year program is a result of a partnership formed between the Valley Industrial Association (VIA) and Junior Achievement.
